Your Father
Imagine it! There is Someone Who knows you through and through because He created you. He knew you before the foundation of the world. He knew you in your mother’s womb and was with her pain during your birth.
Not only that, but you are his delight. He loved you so much that the day came when He couldn’t wait any longer. His heart was bursting to call you His son, His daughter.
There is more. From the moment the priest poured water over you and declared, “I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and other, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen,” all of heaven heard Him say, “This is my son, my daughter, in whom I am well pleased.” He hasn’t forgotten this reality.
It is good to go to “your Father” every day and welcome Him to be a father to you. He knows your needs before you ask Him. Jesus called it “our daily bread.” Throw yourself and your day into His very capable and providential hands. Your heavenly Father is waiting to live in your heart today and the heart of everything you do.
I am a slow learner, but the Lord is teaching me that people who cross my path are not distractions or nobodies. They are His sons and daughters, even if they don’t know it. It blows me away when I see someone come to life because I was willing to spend a quiet moment and listen to them. I must recall every day Jesus taught us to pray to “our Father.”
Gospel Challenge:
Sit with “your Father” for a moment or two. Let Him embrace you and your day. He will never leave your side, no matter what you do.
Love Your Neighbor:
Please join me in praying for all baptized Catholics to be faithful to Jesus in the Holy Mass every weekend. Hail Mary, full of grace…
Mother Mary, “I am yours now and forever. Through you and with you, I always want to belong completely to Jesus.” The Surrender Novena – InHeartland. https://inheartland.com/pages/the-surrender-novena
